Description:
Plaque is made of dark-stained wood. On back are two slots, at top center and at right, for hanging. A gold-foil maker's label is affixed at top center. On front of the plaque is a brushed brass-colored plate of anodized aluminum with black print that reads: "AER Distinguished Service Award Presented to Sam Ashcroft by Association for Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired, South Central Region, June, 1987." A black decorative design of intertwined lines is printed at the center of the plate. A black plastic plate, slightly larger than and placed behind the engraved plate, creates a black border. Four decorative screws attach plates to plaque.
