Summary/Description: A documentary exploring the history of the U.S. Army's Avon-Old Farms Convalescent Hospital established in 1944 to rehabilitate soldiers with eye injuries. Edited by Alejandro Arias-Camison. Narrated by Mark Nolan and Barbara Zuras. Uses music and an opening video scene from the 1998 Dreamworks/Paramount picture "Saving Private Ryan." Includes black and white still photography with one video interview of veteran Nicholas Palermo. A student project of students at Avon (CT) High School. The writer was a member of the Avon Board of Education.
