Description: Photo of poster/engraving advertising a comic orchestra in Paris featuring performers from the Quinze-Vingts, a hospital for the blind. When Valentin HaĆ¼y witnessed such a performance in 1771, he was so disgusted he became interested in education for blind people, leading to the foundation of the first such school in the world in 1784.
