Description:
(a) crackled gray enamel; aluminum castings; flat square chassis screwed to rectangular base; six angled braille keys and trapezoidal space bar emerge from front of case, wooden pads with ivory plastic laminate on top, steel arms; diebox is concealed under small box screwed to top of case, paper release lever on back of this box; stamped in two places on works, "123"; paper reel on right holds spool of 13 mm wide paper tape, reel swivels into side of case for storage; steel space bar support under key slides out to lock key as necessary; gold and red transfer label under keyboard, "Mechanische Werkstatt fur Blindenhilfsmittel Leipzig W23; serial number typed on paper label glued to keyboard shield, "0252"; (b) paper tape winding tool, steel, crank-shaped with pink plastic 1" roller; (c) carrying case; ivory and brown vinyl exterior; lined with bright red vinyl; red foam pad; brown handle, nickel plated hardware.
