Description: William Gladden, from Detroit, graduated from Michigan State University. Singing in the glee club led to a job at the college radio station and a job after college at KFNF in Shenandoah, Iowa. Drafted into the army in 1941, he was married twenty days after Pearl Harbor. He joined WAVE radio in Louisville after the war, as staff announcer and commentator. He began reading at APH in 1948 and read at least through 1974. Bill was married and had three children.
